Verre souflé plaqué

This glass is mouth-blown and plated with a thin layer of colour on the surface.
This coloured layer can be etched by sandblasting, acid etching or wheel etching, in order to soften or remove some or all of the colour.

This glass is used in the manufacture of stained glass windows using lead or the Tiffany technique, but also as decorative elements.

Engraved sandblasted veneered glass

Sandblasting gives a frosted result that can be softened by polishing or firing.

Plated glass engraved with diamond wheel

the wheels are made of diamonds and used with water.

Acid-etched plated glass

gives a more transparent result. But the acid used is super dangerous and highly regulated.
